Immunization programs must being soon after birth
because infectious diseases can be more serious in
babies than in adults.
Whooping cough vaccination is not recommended if
the baby has had a very high fever or a convulsion
after receiving the vaccine, or if there is any sign
of a progressing brain disorder. If in doubt, consult
the child's physician.
