Twelve Tips Before Your Baby Arrives

1.

Register 2 to 3 months prior to your due date. You can always

  update your choices.

2. Layette. Diapers, gowns, blankets, socks...all the items needed to
keep your baby warm, dry, fed and comfortable.

3. Car seat. You can't leave the hospital without one! Many parents
prefer a small infant car seat because it can double as a carrier.

4. Crib and changing table. Consider a crib that converts to a toddler
bed, and a combination changing table/dresser. Select a quality crib
mattress that fits snugly with no more than two fingers width
between the edge of the mattress and crib sides.

5. Bedding and accessories. Decide on a color scheme or theme.
Begin with crib bedding and go from there.

6. Must haves. Baby monitor, bottle warm, and Diaper Genie(R) are
things many new parents say they can't live without.

7. Rocking chair or glider. Choose one with arm rests so you can feed
your baby comfortably. Consider an ottoman for resting your legs.

8. Stroller. You'll want a lightweight stroller for running around town,
and a more substantial model for neighborhood strolls.

9. Infant swing. Essential for calming a cranky baby and lulling him/her
to sleep. Select an easy-entry, battery-operated model.

10. Play yards, Pack N' Plays and diaper bag sets for babies on the go!

11. Highchairs, activity gym and safety gates take baby smoothly from
  infancy to childhood.

12. Photo albums, memory books, growth charts and picture frames to
record and keep all of babies precious moments.
